2025 Reading Goals & TBR

2025READING WRAP-UP

3/12/20252 min read

I put a lot of thought (and very elementary math) into deciding my 2025 reading goals and what books to put on my TBR, so without further ado, here they are!

Reading Goals
📚 Read 50 books
Even though I read 63 books in 2024, I'm trying to focus on quality over quantity this year.

📖 50% of the books I read are written by Queer/non-white/disabled authors
I did a diversity audit of my 2024 reads, and I was so embarrassed by my stats. This year I'm intentionally trying to diversify my reading, hence the reading goal.

🖋️ Read 1 non-fiction book a month
I've been out of school since May, and sometimes I miss learning! I want to keep learning, whether it's about a topic or a person, so I'm trying to read some non-fiction books.

😊 75% of the books I read are books I own
I bring too many (physical) books into my home, and all they do is sit on my bookshelf. I am SO bad about reading my physical TBR, so this year, the majority of my reads need to be ones from my bookshelf.

⏰ Reading for at least 1 hour everyday
Continuing the theme of intentions, I'm trying to be more intentional with my free time. I've already started limiting my screen time when it comes to social media, but instead of replacing that screen time with movies and TV, I'm hoping to change it into reading time.

🛒 Total book buying ban
I can't keep buying books and not reading them!
